I am always fascinated by the idea of actualizing the digital world though physical objects. This is an interesting time management tool designed by Sebastion Rønde Thielke and Anders Højmose. I think this design demonstrates a great possibility in personalizing interface design.

Triennale di Milano New York Opening this Fall

Triennale di Milano, the top-ranking museum of architecture, design, and arts announced last week their plans for opening Triennale di Milano New York in September. During my visit in Milan last month, Triennale was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. They curated a thought provoking show for the Salone del Mobile. On top of that, they are truly dedicated to preserving the traditional Italian design by sponsoring institutions like the Achille Castiglioni Studio. For the New York location, the museum will open with an exhibition of Gio Poti's works. I think it will make quite an entrance into the New York museum/design scene. I am very excited about having another place to spend a casual afternoon of good design and delicious coffee.

Hungry for Culinary Stimulation

Being a spoiled, restaurant-going New Yorker, life in Europe is not as amazing. Being in a small German town like Weimar doesn't help either. Going out for dinner is expensive and not as usual. I am dying of hunger for some interesting flavor combinations. Don't get me wrong! It is great to be in Europe, and try all different types of local food. However, the culinary creative energy is so much more happening on the small island of ours. Reading all the New York food blogs, such as Grub Street, makes me realize how fabulous life is in NYC.
